Job summary

T & R MARKET, INC. in Gallup, NM is seeking a friendly Feedstore cashier to deliver fast and accurate service at the sales counter. You will scan items, ensure correct prices and quantities, and collect payments while helping customers.

Ideal candidates have basic math and computer skills, familiarity with POS systems, and a customer-focused attitude. This on-site role requires occasional weekend work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1+ years of retail cashier experience preferred.
• Basic math and computer skills required.
• Knowledge of point-of-sale systems.
• Cash handling experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate all checking equipment, count money and make change accurately.

Feedstore cashiers provide customers with fast and friendly service while ensuring accuracy at the sales counter. Cashiers scan items, ensure that prices are quantities are correct, and collect payments.

Physical requirements

• Grasping, bending, twisting, squatting,
• Move, lift (minimum height of 4' on a regular basis), and carry a minimum of 50lbs
• Walk, stand, climb ladders, be on feet the entire shift
• Push/pull a heavily loaded pallet with a manual pallet jack
• Push/pull a loaded stock cart
• Work around animals; fowl, rodents, etc.
• Work around hay, dust, and other outdoor plant pollens

Education and Experience

A high school diploma or equivalent preferred

1+ years of retail Cashier experience preferred

Age requirement

Minimum age 18
