Job summary

Lowe's is seeking a cashier to deliver a fast, friendly checkout experience and help customers get the best value for their money. You’ll primarily work at the register, ensuring accurate scanning and bagging, and handling payments and exchanges with a smile.

In addition to the register duties, you may assist other departments, stock shelves, and keep your workstation clean in a busy retail environment. Prior customer service experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Reading, writing and basic arithmetic required.
• Ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods.
• Experience using a computer for inputting and retrieving data.
• Able to lift up to 75 pounds as needed, with assistance available.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a fast, friendly, and professional checkout experience.
• Assist customers in the self-checkout area when needed.
• Scan, bag items accurately and efficiently.
• Manage cash register, payments, and exchanges.
• Answer customer questions and maintain a clean, safe workstation.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
