Job summary

Lowe's cashier position in Troy, Alabama offers part-time hours and an opportunity to serve customers at a fast, friendly checkout. You will help customers get value for their money, handle register operations, assist with self-checkout, answer questions, and assist in stocking as needed.

Training and benefits accompany a supportive team environment. Retail or customer service experience is welcome; bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Reading, writing, and performing basic arithmetic (addition and subtraction)
• Ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods of time
• Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information
• Minimally lift 10lbs unassisted or over 15lbs with or without accommodation
• Obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required by law in your state

Responsibilities

• Deliver a fast, friendly, and professional checkout experience
• Proactively assist customers in the self-checkout area
• Scan and bag items accurately and efficiently
• Manage a cash register, payments, and exchanges
• Answer customer questions
• Help maintain a clean, safe workstation
