Job summary

Meijer is seeking a friendly cashier to deliver efficient checkout experiences at our stores. You’ll be the last touchpoint, helping customers and processing transactions accurately to leave a positive impression.

What You’ll Do:

As a Cashier, you are the last touchpoint a customer has before leaving our store.

You'll:

• Become knowledgeable on Meijer programs and promotions to best assist customers
• Create welcoming, memorable checkout experiences that leave a lasting impression
• Use Meijer systems to complete transactions efficiently and accurately
• Handle cash and payments responsibly, with attention to detail
• Communicate clearly and confidently, using friendly eye contact and positive body language
• Answer customer questions and help resolve concerns with care
• Build trust and connection that encourages customers to return
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly
