Job summary

Rural King is hiring a Cashier to deliver friendly, accurate service at the front of the store. You will handle transactions, assist customers, and promote programs like the RK Loyalty and RK Visa while upholding cash-handling procedures.

This role emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment. You'll work with store staff to keep checkout areas stocked and functioning, participate in training, and help ensure a smooth, welcoming shopping experience.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service or retail experience preferred.
• Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable using computers, POS systems, and other technology.
• Able to accurately handle cash and process transactions.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
• Able to work in a fast-paced team environment.
• Reliable, proactive, and willing to learn.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide friendly, professional service.
• Process cash, credit, debit, and other transactions accurately.
• Follow procedures for cash handling, returns, exchanges, layaways, and price disputes.
• Educate customers about the Rural King Loyalty Program, RK Visa, and RK Plus Protection Plan (RKPPP).
• Coordinate with loaders and associates to promptly address customer needs.
• Maintain checkout areas, shopping carts, restrooms, and customer service areas.
• Participate in cross-training and training new Cashiers as needed.
