You will handle bagging, maintain a clean checkout area, and stay informed on policies for tobacco, alcohol, and other restricted items. This position requires flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifikationen

• Typically involves on-the-job training.
• Minimum of 16 years of age required.
• TABC/LACT certification required where applicable.

Aufgaben

• Ensures correct checkout totals by weighing, keying, and scanning items.
• Accesses or memorizes product codes and stays familiar with ads and specials.
• Remains current on tender policies for checks, credit, debit, coupons, EBT, etc.
• Maintains friendly attitude, greets customers, answers questions, locates and promotes products, and handles complaints.
• Promotes enrollment in the Thank You Card program and assists sign-up where applicable.
• Bags groceries properly, groups like items, avoids cross-contamination, ensures receipts.
• Follows safety procedures and ensures a clean, safe shopping environment.
• Adheres to local, state, and federal laws on sales of restricted items.
