Job summary

TravelCenters of America is hiring a Cashier to join our store team and deliver excellent customer service to every guest. You will handle POS transactions, keep the food, beverage and merchandise areas organized and clean, and assist customers with a friendly, efficient approach.

The role requires flexibility to work nights, weekends and holidays, with opportunities to learn and grow within TA’s network of travel centers.

Qualifications

• Basic computer/POS knowledge preferred.
• Dedicated individual who works well with others.
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and some holidays.

Responsibilities

• Work in a fun, trusting environment focused on great customer service.
• Serve each customer courteously, quickly and efficiently with a positive attitude.
• Process transactions on a point-of-sale (POS) register; maintain a clean, well-stocked area; clean and stock merchandise.
• Prioritize work according to store and management needs.
• Follow safety guidelines and report unsafe situations.
• Establish strong communication with leaders and co-workers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
