Job summary

Saver Group, Inc. is hiring a cashier to join our neighborhood grocery team in Tuscaloosa, AL. You will provide friendly, efficient customer service, operate the cash register, and help maintain clean, well-stocked shelves throughout shifts.

The role emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and safety, with opportunities to grow and participate in welfare benefits such as 401(k), paid vacation, and year-end bonuses. Previous retail experience is preferred and a positive attitude is essential.

Qualifications

• Customer service orientation and willingness to deal with people every day.
• Retail experience preferred.
• Able to stand on feet for entire shift.
• Able to lift all items from belt to basket.

Responsibilities

• Operates a cash register efficiently and performs checkout procedures at or above expected performance standards including, but not limited to, accurate handling/counting of cash, EBT, debit cards, credit cards, WIC vouchers, gift cards, coupons and checks.
• Follows all check-out and cash handling procedures and policies.
• Stocks product on platforms, shelving, peg hooks and in baskets or refrigerated cases as needed.
• Communicates in an effective and friendly way to customers.
