Job Title: Cashier

Reports To: General Manager, Assistant Manager, or Shift Leader

The cashier position is essential to the daily success of the restaurant. It is a guest-facing role, often the first point of contact beyond the welcoming greeting.

Job Requirements:
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic math skills, including addition and subtraction.
  • Excellent knowledge of menu items and products.
  • Responsibility for accurate guest orders.
  • Effective communication skills to handle guest questions and concerns professionally.
  • Proficiency in using the POS system.
  • Accuracy in cash handling and balancing the cash drawer.
  • Team player attitude.
  • Sincere appreciation and thanks to guests for their business.
  • Participation in Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation fundraising initiatives.
  • Maintain an organized, stocked, and sanitary workspace.
  • Willingness to perform other restaurant duties such as food preparation or cleaning as directed by management.
  • Adherence to all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe work environment.
