Job summary

Strack & Van Til Food Market in Chesterton, IN is seeking a friendly Cashier to operate the register, ring up groceries, and handle multiple payment types while maintaining a fast, accurate checkout experience for a high volume of customers.

In the Front End Department you will be the face of the company, assist with bagging, maintain clean checkout area, and help customers with questions. Prior experience is helpful but not required; you will receive training and support from a friendly team.

Summary: As a Cashier, your primary responsibility will include operating a cash register to accurately ring up our customers' grocery orders. You will be responsible for tendering multiple forms of payment while ensuring our customers experience a friendly, efficient checkout process. You will interact with a high-volume of customers in a fast-paced environment ensuring that all of their grocery shopping needs were met.
