Job description

Summary Statement:

The Cashier, Cage & Player Services is responsible for completing monetary transactions, exchanging tokens, processing wire transfers, performing credit checks and balancing books at the end of the shift. The ideal candidate will create a work environment that supports our core values, promotes integrity, teamwork, performance, recognition, and mutual respect. All responsibilities are to be performed in accordance with all gaming laws and regulations, as well as Resorts World Las Vegas policies, practices, and procedures.

PrimaryJob Duties:– Includes, but is not limited to:

  • Conduct marker and front money transactions on player accounts including deposits, withdrawals, redemptions, and issuances.
  • Assist guests with redemption and/or purchase of chips and tickets.
  • Operate computer systems to process and verify guest credit and check-cashing activity as well as exchanging chips, tokens, and promotional items for cash.
  • Document all recordable transactions in accordance with company standards and Title 31 regulations.
  • Cash personal checks and assist guests with cash advances in accordance with vendor instructions and specified guidelines.
  • Secure company assets and balance bank at end of shift.
  • Verify and redeem all acceptable types of foreign currencies.
  • Perform mathematical calculations using a 10-key machine.
  • Provide excellent service consistent with the property’s core service standards and brand attributes.
  • Obtain and maintain position-specific licensing.
  • Use personal device/cellular phone for job related operational tasks, job duties, review of company documents, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:– Includes, but is not limited to:

  • Ability to effectively communicate in English.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Polished appearance and demeanor.
  • Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules and regulations, policies, and procedures.

Preferred:

  • Previous experience working in a large, luxury resort setting.
  • At least six months as a Casino Cage Cashier.
  • Working knowledge of gaming regulations.
  • Strong understanding of fraud prevention and credit scams.

Minimum Education and Experience:

  • At least 21 years of age.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum one to three years cashier experience.

Certificates, Licenses, Regulations:

  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
  • Ability to obtain the following:
    • Nevada Gaming Registration
