Job summary

Green Country Habitat for Humanity in Broken Arrow, OK is seeking a friendly Cashier to ensure a welcoming store experience for customers, donors, and volunteers. You will be an ambassador for the organization with a positive attitude and helpful service.

Responsibilities include handling cash with accuracy, operating the POS system, assisting shoppers, stocking and maintaining the store, and supporting store management. Weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
• Ability to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) required.
• Basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides quality service by assisting store customers and donors with a positive retail experience.
• Handles cash and operates POS system.
• Follows pricing policy and researches prices for unusual items as needed.
• Processes donated inventory quickly and efficiently.
• Maintains store and facility including shelves, bathrooms, and displays; restocks merchandise as needed.
• Supports Store management and performs other duties as assigned.
• Ensures Store policies are followed and acts as an ambassador for Green Country Habitat for Humanity and the Store.
• Loads items safely and assists with unloading and dock guidelines.

Job Summary

The Cashier will ensure that customers, donors, and volunteers have an enjoyable experience at the Store. The Cashier is an ambassador for Green Country Habitat for Humanity and is often making a first impression of the organization to donors and customers, therefore a positive attitude is a must.

Essential Responsibilities

• Provides quality service by assisting store customers and answering questions and providing a positive retail experience with prompt and courteous service.
• Handles cash and operates POS system.
• Follows policy for pricing for all items before displaying them on the retail floor. Follows pricing structure where applicable; research prices for unusual items by contacting appropriate retail operations in local area and utilizing internet resources for research.
• Processes donated inventory quickly and efficiently.
• Maintains store and facility; clean shelves, bathrooms, and retail displays as well as restock merchandise as needed.
• Provides support to Store management and other duties as assigned.
• Ensures Store policies and procedures are closely followed in the Store.
• Acts as an ambassador for Green Country Habitat for Humanity and the Store.

Additional Responsibilities

• Loads items in a safe and courteous fashion.
• Assists in unloading truck following dock guidelines.
• Operates various power tools.

Education / Experience
