JOB IDENTIFICATION

Job Title: Cashier/Batting Cage Attendant

Grade: II

FLSA: Non-Exempt

Department: Revenue Facilities

SUPERVISORY RELATIONSHIPS

Reports to: Revenue Facilities Manager, Mountain View Adventure Center Manager

BASIC FUNCTION

The Cage/Cashier Attendant is responsible for the supervision of patrons and enforcement of rules and regulations in the Mountain View Batting Cages.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  1. Greeting the public. Demonstrate and promote positive guest relations and exceptional customer service. Provide information on Park District activities.
  2. Enter all transactions into POS system, collect payment, issue change and receipt for all admissions or concessions sales.
  3. Balance cash drawer at end of each shift, complete all required paperwork.
  4. Prepare concession food, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
  5. Responsible for operating and cleaning food preparation equipment.
  6. Respond to emergencies in the facility which may include incidents of a serious nature.
  7. Maintain batting cage area during shift, to include the batting cage house and the area around the batting cages and skate park.
  8. Responsible for organizing batting cage material (helmets, bats).
  9. Clean work areas at the end of designated shift.
  10. Work as a team with entire staff.
  11. Ability to work flexible shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays.

OTHER DUTIES

  1. Answer all guest questions and concerns.
  2. Assist with incoming groups, as needed.
  3. Adhere to all safety policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Manual and Crisis Manual.
  4. Direct patrons in the event of an emergency, such as fire, severe weather.
  5. Perform additional duties as assigned.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Some High School Classwork. Must be 16 years of age.

Experience: Money handling experience recommended. Experience using Point of Sales system preferred.

Certifications: First Aid, CPR and AED certifications, Classes available through Park District.

Food Handler Training Certificate required following employment.
