Job Description for Food Service Role at Harrah's Resort Southern California

Minimum Requirements

• Preferred six months of food service experience.
• At least six months of cash handling and register experience.
• Hotel restaurant experience is a plus.
• Excellent Family Style Service and Starbucks customer service standards.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Availability to work any day and shift.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Well-groomed appearance per franchise and company standards.
• Food Handlers card or willingness to obtain one within the first week.
• Flexibility to rotate through front-line stations such as warming, store support, cashier, and barista.
• Willingness to work in other food outlets and overtime if needed.

Role Responsibilities

• Greet and converse with guests upon entry, demonstrating the "Everyone Greets Everyone" (EGE) principle.
• Model Family Style Service for guests and team members.
• Uphold integrity, honesty, and the culture aligned with Starbucks and Harrah's principles.
• Handle difficult guest conversations effectively.
• Prepare snacks and beverages following franchise operations manuals.
• Warm and prepare sandwiches, pastries, and beverages efficiently.
• Process cash transactions according to company policies.
• Upsell products and promote Caesars and Starbucks brands.
• Maintain cleanliness and stock supplies in service areas.
• Follow health, safety, and food handling procedures.
• Perform tasks based on business needs and leadership direction.
• Adhere to attendance and policy guidelines.

Additional Requirements

• Ability to maneuver in casino/hotel areas and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, and perform physical tasks required for stocking and cleaning.
• Tolerance for hot temperatures and high noise levels.
• Proficiency in English reading, writing, speaking, and understanding.
• Tolerance for secondhand smoke, bright lights, and dust.

Pay starts at $17.50/hour plus tips, depending on experience. Other duties may be assigned as needed. Harrah's Resort reserves the right to amend this description as necessary.
