Meijer Inc. is seeking a friendly Cashier to deliver smooth checkout experiences at our Kentucky store. You’ll engage customers, learn our promotions, and use our POS system to complete transactions accurately while handling cash with care.

You’ll join a team that values strong communication, reliability, and service-minded teamwork in a fast-paced environment. Prior retail experience helps, but is not required, and training is provided.

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Able to learn and use technology quickly.
• Dependable, detail-oriented, and organized.
• Retail or customer service experience is helpful but not required.

What You’ll Do:

As a Cashier, you are the last touchpoint a customer has before leaving our store. You'll: Become knowledgeable on Meijer programs and promotions to best assist customers Create welcoming, memorable checkout experiences that leave a lasting impression Use Meijer systems to complete transactions efficiently and accurately Handle cash and payments responsibly, with attention to detail Communicate clearly and confidently, using friendly eye contact and positive body language Answer customer questions and help resolve concerns with care Build trust and connection that encourages customers to return Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly In short: you'll turn everyday moments into meaningful moments.

What You Bring:

You’re 18 years of age or older You enjoy working with people and providing great service You’re comfortable learning and using technology You listen well, communicate clearly, and stay organized You’re dependable, detail‑oriented, and eager to help Previous retail or customer service experience is helpful but not required You have the ability to perform physical tasks, such as lifting, bending, twisting, and standing for extended periods
