Position Summary

The Cashier/Associate is responsible for providing friendly, efficient, and accurate customer service while creating a positive shopping experience for every customer. As the final point of contact, the Cashier/Associate plays an important role in leaving customers with a lasting impression of Marden's. Because Marden's is a surplus and salvage retailer, every day is fast-paced and different, making flexibility, accuracy, and excellent customer service essential.

• Greet customers in a friendly, professional, and welcoming manner.
• Accurately process customer purchases using the point-of-sale system.
• Handle cash, credit cards, debit cards, checks, and other approved forms of payment in accordance with company procedures.
• Maintain an accurate cash drawer throughout the shift.

• Answer basic customer questions and direct customers to the appropriate department or team member for assistance.
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and inviting checkout area.
