POSITION PURPOSE:
Performs work to prepare, cook and serve meals, salads and a la-carte items; prepares entrees, vegetables, and other side dishes according to standardized recipes and keeps accurate documentation of food preparation. Responsible for collecting monies, accurate meal counts, and recording fees received for the purchase of meals and other food.

This position operates in an office and school cafeteria environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, scanners, copiers, and cafeteria/food preparation equipment. The position, at times, must be able to come into direct contact with school system staff, students, parents, and the community. Work is considered heavy physical work, requiring the exertion of a minimum of 40 pounds of force.
