Job summary

The Harris County Community Supervision and Corrections Department (CSCD) is seeking a detail-oriented Cashier/Office Clerk to process payments such as restitution and supervisory fees in a fast-paced office environment in Houston, Texas. Responsibilities include maintaining daily payment balances, assisting CSOs with fee screens, answering inquiries, and handling multi-line switchboard duties.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Experience with 10-key adding machine.
• At least six months of cashier and clerical experience.

Responsibilities

• Process all payments promptly and maintain a daily balance of payments.
• Assist CSOs with understanding/translating Fee Screens when needed.
• Reconcile current day totals at the end of the shift and respond to inquiries politely.
• Greet clients at the switchboard and handle multi-line calls.
• Work overtime as required.
