Job summary

Genuine Foods in Santa Fe, NM, is hiring a Cashier/Barista to join our school-based food service team. You will greet customers, craft drinks, handle transactions, and uphold food safety standards in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of food service or customer service experience, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn the USDA National School Lunch Program requirements while supporting a team-focused culture and school community.

Qualifications

• Must be flexible & team-oriented.
• 1 year of food or customer service experience/training in a mid-high volume food service facility or restaurant.
• Willingness to learn the compliance requirements of the USDA National School Lunch Program.
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic and level headedness.
• Punctual and able to adhere to the time and attendance policy.
• Able to climb stairs and lift up 50 lbs.
• Interest in and committed to Genuine Foods’ mission to use food to help students enhance their minds, bodies and happiness.
• Must be able to work in a school environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide Genuine quality customer service with all clienteles by greeting, thanking, etc.
• Craft drinks to order with care and accuracy.
• Ring out guests as needed at the cash register and follow cash handling procedures
• Ensure food safety standards are being followed.
• Provide great customer service following Genuine standards.
• Maintain a clean working environment and help the team with any additional cleaning duties.
• Restock areas as needed, following proper FIFO rotation.
• Assist other team members as needed.
• All other duties as assigned.
