Job summary

Portillo's Hot Dogs, LLC is hiring for a fast-paced guest service role at our Avon, IN location. You will greet guests, describe menu items, take orders and payments, and help keep lines moving efficiently both at the counter and drive-thru.

Qualifications include being 21 or older to serve alcohol, a year of prior Portillo’s employment with 20+ hours in 6 months for stock plan eligibility, and a welcoming, team‑oriented attitude. Veterans are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with a friendly smile and provide BUN-believable customer service.
• Describe our delicious menu items and answer any questions the guest may have.
• Quickly and accurately take orders and payments behind the cashier counter and outside in the drive‑thru.
• Work with a sense of urgency to keep long lines moving smoothly.
• Work as a team player to help and serve other team members and guests.
• Pass out food orders to guests while creatively rhyming order numbers.
• Take catering and take‑out orders over the phone.
• Check online, catering and phone orders for accuracy, accept payment, serve alcoholic beverages to guests 21 years or older, and help guests plan their special events.

Pay & Benefits

Pay rate: $14.25 per hour. Additional $2 per hour for all hours worked after 11p.m., $2 per hour when working outside in temperatures below 33°F, and $3 per hour for holidays* (including Easter, Memorial Day, July4, Christmas Eve, NewYear’s Day).
