This is entry level work collecting money from customers and performing operational duties at the County refuse facility.
Generally, the hiring range is $19.08- $23.85 per hour. Qualifications, education and experience as it relates to the position will be taken into consideration when determining hiring salary.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:This position does not supervise other employees.
CONSEQUENCE OF ERROR:This is standardized work. Consequence of error may result in a misunderstanding with customers and/or a miscalculation of fees.
CONTACTS:This position has daily contact with the public.
INDEPENDENT JUDGMENT:Work is standardized.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:Generally, a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:Ability to effectively communicate in oral form.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:Ability to perform basic math calculation using units of American money and weight measurements.
REASONING ABILITY:Ability to use common sense understanding to carry out instructions.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:Work is performed on-site at the County refuse facility.

In the event of an emergency/disaster in or near the County, all County employees are expected to make every effort to be available to assist the County Manager, Elected/Appointed Officials and Department Directors to ensure the continued operation of any and all necessary County functions. This may mean being available to perform additional duties and hours beyond what is normally required. In the event that an exempt employee does work more than 40 hours a week in support of County operations during an emergency, such employee may receive overtime or other appropriate wage compensation in accordance with existing County policies or at the discretion of the County.
