Responsibilities

As a Cashier at Sprouts Farmers Market, you are the face of the company while processing each customer’s order quickly, accurately, and efficiently, ensuring customer satisfaction through prompt and friendly service. Your duties include handling cash, credit/debit payments, and providing information to customers, as well as resolving complaints. You will also assist with stocking shelves, facing, and dusting as needed. Maintaining knowledge of weekly ad items, directing customers to product locations, and staying informed about store events are essential. You must communicate effectively with the front end manager and Head Cashier, and ensure checkout areas are clean and orderly. All other related duties as assigned should be executed diligently.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent, and have 1-2 years of cashiering experience.
• Display an outgoing and friendly demeanor, a positive attitude, and strong customer interaction skills.
• Ability to operate front-end equipment such as registers, calculators, and scanners.
• Dependability and flexibility to work varying schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Good communication skills; able to take direction and work well in a team.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks, multi-task, prioritize, and stay organized.
• Must be able to lift/carry up to 30 lbs. and move grocery carts requiring up to 35 lbs. of force.
• Strong attention to detail, proficient in cash handling, mathematical skills, and able to read, write, and count.
