Minimum Position Qualifications:

• Customer service experience
• Ability to handle stressful situations
• Effective communication skills
• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, subtraction)

Desired Previous Job Experience:

• Customer service experience
• Prior experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk

Responsibilities:

• Greet, engage, and assist customers actively and visibly.
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently.
• Understand and operate the Point of Sale (POS) system, handling various tenders such as cash, checks, credit/debit cards, SNAP EBT, WIC, rain checks, coupons, and loyalty offers according to company policy.
• Adhere to company limits on cash shortages or overages, working honestly to control loss.
• Follow guidelines on restricted sale items (alcohol, tobacco, DVDs).
• Report pricing discrepancies and maintain awareness of current promotions and ads.
• Follow all food safety regulations and safety procedures, reporting unsafe conditions or incidents.
• Maintain equipment and notify management of repairs needed.
• Create a welcoming environment, answering questions about products and store services.
• Comply with all applicable laws and company policies.
• Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
