Job summary

Parts Authority is seeking a full-time cashier to ring up customer transactions and provide friendly, efficient service at the counter. You will handle cash and card payments, manage petty cash, and ensure accuracy of invoices while working with store staff to resolve issues and maintain security.

• 1–2 years of retail experience is preferred.
• Experience handling cash is preferred.
• 1 year of customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ring in customer transactions
• Deal with customers in a courteous and professional manner
• Lend out money as necessary and manage petty cash
• Accurately handle invoices and ensure that drivers mark bills as “Paid”
• Account for cash/credit/check transactions
• Work with countermen and store managers to keep them aware of issues with customers
• Locate missing funds if there is a problem with the register balance
• Will be assigned other duties as needed
• Maintain and promote workplace safety
• Securing and transferring cash or other assets.
