St. Elizabeth Healthcare is hiring a Cashier to join our Edgewood Nutrition Services Team.

Shift/Hours: Part Time 24 Hours, Third Shift. Accurately tabulates the foods selected by café customers, handles cash transactions, and delivers respectful service to patients, families, visitors and staff we encounter daily.

Qualifications

• Six months of cashier, waitress/waiter, or retail sales experience.
• Cash handling and cashier reports experience.

Job Description

The best career is right here. Stock all food and supplies daily as assigned to meet the needs of the retail operation. Act as a liaison for the Nutrition Department and St. Elizabeth Healthcare when serving customers and associates. Process orders accurately and offer assistance as needed. Communicates in a professional caring manner when serving customers. Efficient handling of cash register duties and follow proper accounting and cash handling practices to provide accuracy with all transactions and follows all opening and closing procedures. Perform cleaning tasks and duties to meet high quality standards that create a welcoming and fresh presentation in the serving and dining areas playing close attention to details. Compliance with all local, state, federal and medical center regulatory, safety, sanitation and security standards. Participate in performance improvement (PI) studies; assist with data collection and supports action plans. Performs other duties as assigned.
