Responsibilities

As a Cashier at Sprouts Farmers Market, you are the face of the company, processing each customer's order quickly, accurately, and efficiently, ensuring complete customer satisfaction through prompt and friendly service. Your duties include handling cash, credit/debit payments, and providing information and resolving complaints. You will also assist with stocking shelves, facing, dusting, and maintaining checkout areas in a clean and orderly condition. Additionally, you will be knowledgeable about weekly ad items, store events, and seminars, and communicate effectively with the front end manager and Head Cashier. All other related duties as assigned are also part of the role.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent, and 1-2 years of recent cashiering experience.
• Have an outgoing, friendly demeanor, a positive attitude, and the ability to interact well with customers.
• Ability to operate front-end equipment such as registers, calculators, and scanners.
• Dependability and reliability, with a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team, take direction, and handle constructive criticism.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks, multitask, prioritize, and stay organized.
• Must lift/carry up to 30 lbs. and move grocery carts requiring a force up to 35 lbs., for specified distances and durations.
• Strong attention to detail, proficiency in cash handling, mathematical skills, and the ability to read, write, and count.
