Job summary

La Huerta Market is hiring a cashier to provide excellent customer service at the register. You will handle payments, assist customers in locating products, and maintain a clean, organized checkout area.

The Cashier is responsible for providing excellent customer service when making payments to ensure customers feel welcome. They assist in packaging and labeling products, stocking products for their registers, and maintaining their areas clean. Cashiers must be extremely responsible with money handling and remember product codes, prices, and general knowledge of the store .

Responsibilities

• Bagging all customer items in a careful, precise manner
• Refilling supplies as needed in their area such as bags, receipt paper, etc.
• Consistently stocking candy, drinks, chips, and other products around their register so everything is full and attractive for the customers
• Complete side tasks such as labeling and packaging products as needed
• Ensuring workspace and store is clean throughout the day for a positive customer experience
• General cleaning, sweeping, and mopping
• Completing other tasks as assigned by Managers
