Responsibilities include:
- Processing customer transactions efficiently and accurately at check lanes.
- Understanding the POS system and handling various tenders like cash, checks, credit/debit cards, SNAP EBT, WIC, rain checks, loyalty offers, and coupons, following company policy.
- Adhering to cash handling limits and controlling loss effectively.
- Following guidelines on restricted sale items such as alcohol, tobacco, and DVDs.
- Reporting pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator.
- Managing postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons according to policies.
- Staying current with ads and promotions.
- Complying with food safety and safety procedures, identifying unsafe conditions, and reporting issues.
- Maintaining equipment and notifying management of repairs.
- Creating a welcoming environment for customers by assisting with product questions and ensuring they feel valued.
- Following all applicable laws and company policies.
- Working cooperatively in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
- Managing conflicts professionally and with integrity.
- Following directions and seeking help when needed to resolve issues.
- Supporting minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults through direct interaction.
- Performing essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
Salary Range: $15.55 - $16.55 per hour
