Responsibilities include:

• Processing customer transactions efficiently and accurately at check lanes.
• Understanding the POS system and handling various tenders like cash, checks, credit/debit cards, SNAP EBT, WIC, rain checks, loyalty offers, and coupons, following company policy.
• Adhering to cash handling limits and controlling loss effectively.
• Following guidelines on restricted sale items such as alcohol, tobacco, and DVDs.
• Reporting pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator.
• Managing postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons according to policies.
• Staying current with ads and promotions.
• Complying with food safety and safety procedures, identifying unsafe conditions, and reporting issues.
• Maintaining equipment and notifying management of repairs.
• Creating a welcoming environment for customers by assisting with product questions and ensuring they feel valued.
• Following all applicable laws and company policies.
• Working cooperatively in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
• Managing conflicts professionally and with integrity.
• Following directions and seeking help when needed to resolve issues.
• Supporting minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults through direct interaction.
• Performing essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations.

Salary Range: $15.55 - $16.55 per hour
