Responsibilities include:
- Processing customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently at checkouts.
- Understanding and operating the Point of Sale (POS) system, handling various payment methods and loyalty offers per company policy.
- Adhering to cash handling limits and loss prevention procedures.
- Following guidelines on restricted sale items such as alcohol, tobacco, DVDs.
- Reporting pricing discrepancies and managing postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons according to policies.
- Staying updated on current and upcoming promotions and adhering to food safety regulations.
- Ensuring safety procedures are followed, reporting unsafe conditions or incidents.
- Maintaining equipment and creating a welcoming environment for customers.
- Following all applicable laws and company policies, and working cooperatively in a fast-paced environment.
- Managing conflict professionally and acting with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
- Supporting customers including minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
- Performing essential duties with or without reasonable accommodations.
