Job summary

Lunchtime Solutions, Inc. is seeking a dependable Cashier to join our school food service team at Siouxland Christian School in Sioux City, IA. Work Monday–Friday from 7:15am to 1:30pm, with a friendly, efficient approach to handling student transactions and serving meals.

You will operate the POS system, assist with serving, and maintain cash accuracy while supporting a positive dining environment for students and staff.

Qualifications

• Ability to provide friendly, accurate customer service.
• Experience handling cash with accuracy and integrity.
• Familiarity with a point-of-sale (POS) system is a plus.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Operate the POS system to process student transactions and manage balances.
• Keep station stocked and assist with meals and a la carte items during service.
• Follow cash handling procedures and reconcile daily transactions.
• Provide friendly, respectful service to students, staff, and customers.
• Assist with setup and cleanup before and after meal service.
• Support food safety standards and complete basic logs as needed.
• Communicate inventory, feedback, or account concerns to team.

Cashier – Lunchtime Solutions

Location: On-site at Siouxland Christian School

Schedule: Monday–Friday 7:15am-1:30pm

Lunchtime Solutions is seeking a dependable, team‑focused Cashier to join our school food service program. In this role, you’ll help create a positive experience for students by providing friendly, efficient service while managing transactions and supporting smooth daily meal service. It’s a great role for someone who enjoys working with people and being part of a supportive team.

What You’ll Do

• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system to process student transactions and manage account balances
• Keep your station stocked and ready while helping serve meals and a la carte items during service
• Follow cash handling procedures and reconcile daily transactions accurately
• Provide friendly, respectful service to students, staff, and customers, helping create a welcoming environment.
• Assist with set-up and clean‑up before and after meal service
• Support food safety standards and complete basic logs or records as needed
• Communicate with your team and supervisors about inventory, customer feedback, or account concerns
• Jump in where needed—help with stocking, basic kitchen tasks, or supporting teammates

• Basic computer skills and comfort using a POS system.
