Job summary

Zaxby's in North Carolina is seeking a friendly cashier to be the first face guests see, delivering warm, enthusiastic service and helping ensure orders are accurate and served hot.

You will operate the POS, process payments, greet guests, upsell items, and maintain a clean dining area while upholding brand standards. Must be at least 16 and available for at least 10 hours per week.

Job Qualifications

The following requirements must be met in order to qualify

for this position.

• Must be 16 years of age or older
• Ability to work a minimum of 10 hours per week

Responsibilities:

The individual in this position is expected to engage in the following work-related activities and complete all training requirements including:

• Hands-on stations training
• Provide friendly, enthusiastic service for all guests
• Promptly greet guests as they enter and thank them as they leave
• Maintain awareness of current promotions
• Explain menu items, answer questions, and suggest additional items
• Be knowledgeable with the Zaxby’s Loyalty app
• Enthusiastically represent the Zaxby’s brand
• Accurately enter guest orders into the point of sale system
• Ensure orders are hot, fresh and no missing items before handing out to the guest
• Accept payments, operate cash registers, and maintain receipts
• Handle cash payments, count and verify tills, and record totals appropriately
• Maintain a clean, safe, welcoming environment
• Clean and maintain guest areas including dining room, counters, bathrooms, and building exterior. This includes taking out trash and washing dishes at times.
• Maintain equipment and inform management of maintenance needs
• Stock paper goods, condiments, serve ware, and beverages
• Keep work areas clean and organized
• Other work assigned

Capabilities Requirement:

• Stand and walk for long periods of time
• Occasionally stoop, bend, crouch or climb, including the use of ladders
• Frequently lift, push, pull and carry up to 50 pounds, sometime lifting overhead
• Ensure that daily cash drawers, safe and credit cards are balanced.
• Continuous use of hands and wrists for grasping and fine manipulation
• Communicate proficiently through speech, reading and writing
• Maintain effective audio-visual perception and judgement to observe and respond to the current environment
• Work in an environment that features hot and cold temperature variations and exposure to food allergens
• Safely operate restaurant equipment
• High maturity and professionalism standards
