Job summary

SA Recycling LLC in Poplar Bluff, MO is seeking a detail‑oriented Cashier to join our scrap materials team. You will handle cash transactions, generate invoices, balance the drawer, and assist customers with pricing and materials while maintaining accurate records.

This role requires a High School diploma or GED, strong math and communication skills, and basic Microsoft Office knowledge. English/Spanish bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while delivering excellent customer service and handling multiple projects.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational and time management skills.
• Mathematical and problem-solving skills.
• Intermediate understanding of Microsoft Office, and ability to learn industry specific software.
• Bilingual (English & Spanish) language skills a plus.

Responsibilities

• Complete all required records and documentation for payment of purchased scrap metal into the proper systems.
• Calculate daily transactions using computerized programs and balance cash drawer at the end of the day.
• Generate invoices, itemize lists and tickets noting materials and amounts due, verify weights, prices, and extensions.
• Assist current and potential customers with questions regarding pricing, accepted materials, and maintenance of customer accounts.
• Provide relief and/or backup duties for the Office Assistant and Weighmaster.
• Assist with monthly closing reporting and inventory reconciliation as needed.
