Homeland Stores is seeking a passionate Food Clerk-Cashier to greet customers, assist at checkout, and ensure fast, accurate purchases in a dynamic retail environment.

The position emphasizes top-level customer service, cash handling, and adherence to store safety rules. Training and a supportive team partner with Front-End supervision ensure smooth daily operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Basic Mathematics proficiency required.
• Prior experience in a related field preferred.

Responsabilités

• Greet, assist, and ring out all customers politely.
• Process customer purchases quickly and accurately with the cash register, scanner and scale.
• Clean register area (floors, check lanes, registers and scales).
• Prevent loss through careful product handling and correct use of coupons, WIC and other vouchers.
• Ensure safety by following store rules and reporting hazards to a supervisor.
• Bag customer purchases quickly and correctly.
• Operate cash register, scanner, scale, and intercom system safely.
• Perform miscellaneous tasks or substitute for absent workers as directed by supervisors and managers.
