Position: Cashier

Responsibilities include:

  1. Processing customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently at checkouts.
  2. Understanding POS systems and handling various tenders, coupons, and loyalty offers per company policy.
  3. Adhering to cash handling limits and loss prevention policies.
  4. Following guidelines on restricted sale items like alcohol, tobacco, and DVDs.
  5. Reporting pricing discrepancies and following policies on stamps, gift cards, and coupons.
  6. Staying current with ads and promotions.
  7. Adhering to food safety regulations and safety protocols, reporting unsafe conditions.
  8. Maintaining equipment and creating a welcoming environment for customers.
  9. Complying with all applicable laws and company policies.
  10. Working cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment, managing conflicts professionally.
  11. Acting with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
  12. Following directions and seeking help when needed.
  13. Supporting customers with special needs, minors, and older adults.
