Job summary

Total Wine & More in New Jersey is seeking a friendly Cashier to deliver fast service and accurate transactions. You will process sales, answer questions, and promote loyalty programs while maintaining wine, spirits, and beer product knowledge.

Seasonal/full-time options with flexible evenings and weekends. You will work with POS and inventory tools, ensure compliance with alcohol laws, and help keep the store safe and inviting for customers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1–3 years of work experience, with 1+ year in a retail setting preferred.
• Passion for best-in-class customer service and team-player mindset.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and inventory management software.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule as business requires, including evenings and weekends.

About the Role

As a Cashier, you play an essential role in the customer service experience by providing customers with fast and friendly service. You will process transactions, answer questions, and ensure customers leave feeling positive about their visit. Both part‑time and full‑time positions focus on cashier duties, but you may also be assigned as a sales associate or merchandiser/stock associate.

Seasonality

Physical Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Walk, bend down repeatedly, and be on feet for 8–10 hours a day.
• Ability to safely lift, load, and handle cases and pallets.
• Climb ladders and lift 50 lbs. overhead repeatedly.
• May be exposed to various outdoor weather conditions throughout the workday.
