Job Responsibilities:

1. Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently at the check lane.
2. Understand and operate the Point of Sale (POS) system, handling various tenders such as Cash, Checks, Credit, Debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, Rain checks, loyalty offers, coupons, and checkout procedures according to company policy.
3. Adhere to company limits on cash shortages and overages, working honestly to control loss.
4. Follow guidelines on restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
5. Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator.
6. Follow established policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons.
7. Stay current with present, upcoming, seasonal, and special ads.
8. Comply with all food safety regulations and guidelines.
9. Reinforce safety programs by following safety procedures, identifying unsafe conditions, and notifying management.
10. Inspect equipment regularly and report any repairs needed.
11. Create a welcoming environment for customers by assisting with product questions and store navigation.
12. Follow all applicable laws and company guidelines.
13. Work cooperatively in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
14. Manage conflicts in a reasonable and cooperative manner.
15. Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
16. Follow directions and seek assistance to resolve issues.
17. Support and assist minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
18. Perform essential functions of the role with or without reasonable accommodation.
