Responsibilities include:

• Processing customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently at the check lane.
• Understanding and operating the POS system, handling various tenders, and adhering to company policies on cash shortages, overages, and restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
• Reporting pricing discrepancies and following policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons.
• Staying current with ads and promotions.
• Adhering to food safety regulations and safety procedures, reporting unsafe conditions, and practicing preventive maintenance.
• Creating a welcoming environment by assisting customers and answering questions about products.
• Complying with all applicable laws and company guidelines.
• Working cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment, managing conflicts professionally, and acting with honesty and integrity.
• Following directions, seeking assistance when needed, and supporting minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
• Performing essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
