Overview

Responsibilities

As a Cashier at Sprouts Farmers Market, you are the face of the company, processing each customer's order quickly, accurately, and efficiently, ensuring complete customer satisfaction through prompt and friendly service. Your duties include handling customer cash, credit/debit payments, and providing information and resolution for customer complaints. You will follow all front-end procedures, assist with stocking shelves, facing, and dusting as needed. Maintaining knowledge of weekly ad items, guiding customers to product locations, and staying informed about store events and seminars are also part of your role. You must communicate effectively with the front-end manager and Head Cashier, ensure checkout areas are clean and orderly, and perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent, and have 1-2 years of recent cashiering experience.
• Display an outgoing, friendly demeanor, a positive attitude, and the ability to interact well with customers.
• Ability to operate front-end equipment such as registers, calculators, and scanners.
• Dependable with a flexible schedule that includes nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Ability to perform repetitive activities, multitask, prioritize, and stay organized.
• Lift/carry up to 30 lbs. and move grocery carts requiring up to 35 lbs. of force, for specified distances and durations.
• Strong attention to detail, proficiency in cash handling, and mathematical skills.
