Responsibilities include:

• Processing customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently at check lanes.
• Understanding and operating the Point of Sale (POS) system, handling various tenders such as cash, checks, credit/debit cards, SNAP EBT, WIC, rain checks, loyalty offers, and coupons, following company policies.
• Adhering to cash shortage/overage limits and working to control loss.
• Following guidelines on restricted sale items like alcohol, tobacco, and DVDs.
• Reporting pricing discrepancies and following policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons.
• Staying current with advertisements and promotions.
• Complying with food safety regulations and safety procedures.
• Creating a welcoming environment for customers, assisting with product questions.
• Following all applicable laws and company guidelines.
• Working cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
• Managing conflicts professionally and acting with honesty and integrity.
• Following directions and seeking help when needed to resolve issues.
