Minimum Position Qualifications:

  • Customer service experience
  • Effective communication skills
  • Basic math skills (counting, addition, subtraction)

Desired Previous Job Experience:

  • Customer service experience
  • Experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk

Essential Job Functions:

  • Greet, engage, and assist customers actively and visibly.
  • Process transactions accurately and efficiently at the check lane.
  • Handle various tenders including cash, checks, credit/debit cards, SNAP EBT, WIC, coupons, and loyalty offers, following company policies.
  • Adhere to cash handling limits and control loss.
  • Follow guidelines for restricted sale items like alcohol, tobacco, and DVDs.
  • Report pricing discrepancies.
  • Follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons.
  • Stay updated on current and upcoming promotions and ads.
  • Comply with food safety regulations.
  • Follow safety procedures, identify hazards, and report issues.
  • Perform equipment inspections and notify management of repairs.
  • Create a welcoming environment for customers, answering questions about products.
  • Comply with all applicable laws and company policies.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
  • Manage conflicts professionally and cooperatively.
  • Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
  • Follow directions and seek help when needed to resolve issues.
  • Support and assist minors, individuals with special needs, and seniors.
  • Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
