Job Responsibilities:

1. Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently at the check lane.
2. Handle various tenders such as Cash, Checks, Credit, Debit, SNAP EBT, Offline SNAP EBT, WIC, Rain checks, complex loyalty offers, coupons, and checkout procedures according to company policy.
3. Adhere to company's limits on cash shortages and/or overages and work honestly to control loss.
4. Follow guidelines on restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
5. Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator.
6. Follow established policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons.
7. Stay current with present, future, seasonal, and special ads.
8. Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines.
9. Reinforce safety programs and report unsafe conditions or accidents.
10. Inspect equipment regularly and notify management of repairs needed.
11. Create a welcoming environment for customers by answering questions about products.
12. Comply with all local, state, and federal laws, and company guidelines.
13. Work cooperatively in a high-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
14. Manage conflicts in a reasonable, nonconfrontational manner.
15. Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
16. Follow directions and seek assistance as needed to resolve issues.
17. Support and assist minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
18. Perform all essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
