Essential Job Functions:

1. Greet, engage, and assist customers actively and visibly.
2. Process transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently.
3. Handle various tenders such as Cash, Checks, Credit, Debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, Rain checks, coupons, and loyalty offers per company policy.
4. Adhere to cash handling limits and work honestly to prevent loss.
5. Follow guidelines on restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
6. Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator.
7. Follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons.
8. Stay updated on current and upcoming promotions.
9. Comply with food safety regulations.
10. Follow safety procedures, report unsafe conditions or incidents.
11. Inspect equipment regularly and report repairs needed.
12. Create a welcoming environment and assist customers with product questions.
13. Follow all applicable laws and company policies.
14. Work cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
15. Manage conflicts professionally and non-confrontationally.
16. Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
17. Follow directions and seek help when needed.
18. Support and assist minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
