Job Responsibilities:

  • Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently at the check lane.
  • Handle various tenders such as cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, rain checks, coupons, and loyalty offers, following company policies.
  • Adhere to cash handling limits and work honestly to prevent loss.
  • Follow guidelines on restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
  • Report pricing discrepancies and follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons.
  • Stay informed about current, upcoming, seasonal, and promotional ads.
  • Comply with food safety regulations and safety procedures, reporting unsafe conditions.
  • Maintain equipment and report repairs needed.
  • Create a welcoming environment for customers by assisting with questions and product information.
  • Follow all applicable laws and company policies.
  • Work cooperatively in a fast-paced, stressful environment and manage conflicts professionally.
  • Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
  • Support and assist diverse customer groups, including minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
  • Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
