Qualifications

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Cashier greets and serves customers, prepares products, maintains food safety and sanitation standards, and handles customer transactions in compliance with company policies and federal/state laws. Exceptional customer service is a major component of this position.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Interact with customers, providing outstanding customer care.
2. Process customer transactions, record sales, accept payments, suggest additional items, thank customers, and invite them to return.
3. Handle customer concerns and resolve issues.
4. Stock shelves, coolers, and other areas with merchandise.
5. Follow company policies, including liquor and tobacco laws.
6. Maintain the store floor, including cleaning, dusting, mopping, and safety procedures.
7. Maintain a neat and clean personal appearance.
8. Maintain a positive attitude.
9. Perform other duties as assigned.

PREREQUISITES

Education: High School graduate

Experience & Skills: Enjoys working with people, understands and follows all company procedures, possesses a strong work ethic, is highly dependable, demonstrates above-average customer service, and is a team player.

Physical Requirements: Able to work in any store area, operate a POS system/cash register, and perform bending, standing, and walking tasks. Must be able to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally.
