Cashier responsibilities include:

• Processing customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently at the check lane.
• Understanding and operating the POS system, handling various tenders, and managing loyalty offers and coupons according to company policy.
• Adhering to cash handling limits and working to control loss.
• Following guidelines on restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
• Reporting pricing discrepancies and following policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons.
• Staying current with store promotions and adhering to food safety regulations.
• Reinforcing safety programs, identifying unsafe conditions, and reporting issues.
• Maintaining equipment and notifying management of repairs.
• Creating a welcoming environment for customers by answering questions and providing assistance.
• Complying with all laws and company policies.
• Working cooperatively in a fast-paced environment, managing conflicts professionally, and acting with honesty and integrity.
• Following directions, seeking assistance when needed, and supporting customers, including minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
