Job Responsibilities:

• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently at the check lane.
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system, handling various tenders such as cash, checks, credit/debit cards, SNAP EBT, WIC, rain checks, loyalty offers, coupons, and checkout procedures following company policies.
• Adhere to company limits on cash shortages and overages, working honestly to control loss.
• Follow guidelines on restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
• Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator.
• Follow established policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons.
• Stay current with advertisements and promotions.
• Comply with food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Support safety programs by following procedures and reporting unsafe conditions or incidents.
• Perform preventive maintenance and report equipment issues.
• Create a welcoming environment for customers by answering questions and assisting with products.
• Follow all applicable laws and company policies.
• Work cooperatively in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
• Manage conflicts professionally and non-confrontationally.
• Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Follow directions and seek assistance when needed to resolve issues.
• Support and assist minors, individuals with disabilities, and older adults.
