Job summary

Responsibilities

• Accurately count and post payments against open COD invoices and receipt of payment for charge accounts.
• Identify payment method validity (customer using their own credit card).
• Process new, core, and defective returns from customers.
• Receive payments from drivers and maintain cash log.
• Monitor the open COD list daily and communicate needed payments with the Manager.
• Maintain a clean workspace around counter and dispatch daily.
• Keep control of gas cards and follow fueling rules; escalate to Manager when help is needed.

Job Description:Cashiers are responsible for the accurate handling of payment transactions within a specific location.Essential Functions and Requirements:This job position will include but not be limited to the following:Accurately count and post payments against open COD invoices and receipt of payment for charge accountsAccurately identify the payment method is valid (i.e. customer is using their own credit card)Check in and process new, core, and defective returns from customers.Check in and receive payments from drivers and keep track using the cash log.Monitor the open COD list daily and communicate needed payments with the Manager.Maintain a clean workspace including vacuuming all common areas around counter and dispatch daily.Keep control of the locations gas cards- know rules regarding fueling and communicate with the Manager when help is needed.Qualifications:Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.Ability to fully understand all job requirements.Previous experience handling cash is preferred.Must possess interpersonal skills, organizational skills, be a self-starter and have the ability to communicate clearly (verbal and written) with management.Ability to perform in an organized, timely and efficient manner.
