Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

1. Be visible, greeting, engaging, and assisting customers.
2. Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently.
3. Understand the Point of Sale (POS) system and handle various tenders according to company policy.
4. Adhere to the company's cash handling limits and work honestly to control loss.
5. Follow guidelines on restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
6. Report pricing discrepancies.
7. Follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons.
8. Stay current with ads and promotions.
9. Adhere to food safety and safety procedures, and report unsafe conditions.
10. Perform preventive maintenance and report equipment issues.
11. Create a welcoming environment for customers.
12. Follow all laws and company guidelines.
13. Work cooperatively in a high-paced environment.
14. Manage conflicts professionally.
15. Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
16. Follow directions and seek assistance when needed.
17. Support interactions with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.

Qualifications

Minimum Position Qualifications:
