Job Responsibilities:

  • Process customer transactions efficiently and accurately at the check lane.
  • Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system, handling various tenders and loyalty offers according to company policy.
  • Adhere to cash handling limits and work honestly to control loss.
  • Follow guidelines on restricted sale items such as alcohol, tobacco, and DVDs.
  • Report pricing discrepancies and follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons.
  • Stay current with advertisements and promotions.
  • Comply with food safety regulations and safety procedures.
  • Identify and report unsafe conditions or accidents to management.
  • Maintain equipment and notify management of repairs needed.
  • Create a welcoming environment for customers and assist with product inquiries.
  • Follow all laws and company guidelines.
  • Work cooperatively in a high-paced environment and manage conflicts appropriately.
  • Act with honesty and integrity, respecting customer and business confidentiality.
  • Support minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults through direct interaction.
