Job Description: Cashier (Part-Time)
Location: Ma’s Crepes & Cakes, 46 West Broadway, Jim Thorpe, PA 18229
Shifts: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM or 12:00 PM – 4:30 PM
Compensation: $10-$15/hr

About the Role: We’re looking for a friendly, reliable team member to join our front-of-house crew as a Cashier. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment, takes pride in great customer service, and can multitask with a smile. You’ll be the first face our customers see and the one who keeps everything flowing smoothly between the counter and the kitchen.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Open or close the café, including turning lights and TVs on/off, and setting up or cleaning up the front-of-house.
2. Brew fresh coffee and ensure beverage stations are fully stocked.
3. Receive baked goods from the lead baker and stock display cases.
4. Keep the front-of-house fully stocked with utensils, plates, cups, napkins, bags, and other essentials.
5. Greet every customer with an enthusiastic and positive attitude.
6. Operate our Square POS system, handle cash and card transactions, and provide accurate change.
7. Take customer orders and deliver food and drinks to tables.
8. Keep tables and customer areas clean and inviting by clearing trash and sanitizing regularly.
9. Restock and refresh supplies as needed throughout your shift.
10. Handle minor customer concerns professionally and escalate larger issues to the manager.

Requirements:

1. Must be available Wednesday, Thursday or Friday for either opening or closing shifts.
2. Clear communication and a team-oriented mindset.
3. Previous café or restaurant experience is a plus, but not required.
